I stayed here primarily because it is around a 10 minute walk to the Ferry to Sakurajima and the price was around 45$ per night. That was enough for me to be happy. The rooms are pretty comfortable and you can even get sign into YouTube on the room tv and watch it on the big screen. The rooms are plenty big and the bed is King size so you can roll around and there is still plenty room to walk.

Good luck with English.
But other than that it's easily accesible with the ferry from Kagoshima.
There are two buses: a tourist sigh seeing one and a local bus. Both are easy to access. The sights are great and there are a bunch of places to have a hot bath with the volcanic water. Seems like they don't mind tattoos much over there which is refreshing.
