Great location for the station, the university and the town centre. Quiet area, waking up to the 🐦 and a roon with a feel from another Era. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The bar hosts an exquisite selection of whisky and breakfast is delicious.

We had breakfast at Cafe Engel. It was good and varied. It is a charming place. We had a second coffee without extra charge.

Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city.
Excellent museum of modern art, de Fundatie.
Beautiful bookstore inside an old church.
The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

I had only the time to visit quickly the city center for a dinner. I was raining so we could not appreciate very much, but I am sure that the hystorical part of the city, for what I could have seen, is very interesting and charming. I'll try to visit it again in the future.

Very nice town with a lot of nice places where to stop for a drink of a coffee and good for shopping. The center is almost all pedestrian and it's perfect for a nice walk in this historical town from Overijssel.

I use Zwolle as a stopping point and each year on my way to Assen, I explore a little bit more through the narrow streets within the island. There are some fabulous places to eat and chill, its a lovely place.
Hanze hotel is located in the city centre within walking distance of the train station as well as all shops, restaurants and bars etc. Check in was ok - the room was nice and clean. Even though it was in the city centre we didn't experience a lot of noise which was great. We were there on a Wednesday in July which is a popular day/night as it is Zwolle's Blauw Vinger Dag. We didn't know about that but it was fun; lots of market stalls, bands singing and performing etc. The weather was fab too. I would recommend.
The unique experience of staying on a houseboat was great. I loved waking up to see swans and all sorts of waterfowl. Norbert was so kind and accommodating and drove us to and from the station, to the library to print tickets and to our son’s apartment. He even invited us to sing and dance around a fire with his friends for Christmas. It was unfortunate that Zwolle was experiencing record flooding while we were there but Norbert assured us we were safe and helped get our luggage over the floodwater.
Very old hotel, refurbished building. Tons of character. Expected to be visited by the resident ghosts during my stay. OK, basic breakfast. Located on the pedestrian plaza, with many restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from. Access is by a computerized system with a code sent by e-mail. No hotel staff on site, but restaurant staff in building are helpful. Friday Market on the pedestrian mall is great.
Our first impression was abit deceiving, but we were very quickly proven wrong. The room was spotless clean, cozy, with a jaccuzi and sauna, the breakfast yummy, the staff friendly. Luckily, we had our bikes and that helped us to get to the heart of Zwolle alot.
Happy our room was on the 1st floor. The comfy room was definitely worth the small premium.
The bunkbeds and the sheets were excellent! Like I was sleeping in a fancy hotel. Even the ability to charge your devices with every bed. Downtown the city and even with a nice bar and restaurant. And if you want to prepare your own meal, don't worry, there's also a fully equiped kitchen you can use. Great spot to explore the city.
Excellent breakfast, plenty of different food. Staff at reception very polite and helpful. Great location of the hotel just near the city center of Zwolle but still it stays very calm at night. Free parking is included, but there aren't a lot of spaces, so the paying parking has to be used, but the prices here are fair.
Beautiful hotel with very helpful check-in staff. Large rooms and amazing roof terrace overlooking river.
Got stranded in Zwolle when NS trains failed for the day and I couldn't get home to Amsterdam. Will definitely be coming back for a planned weekend break after staying here!
Superb location in the old centre of Zwolle. Reasonably well equipped, although for our particular needs - not wanting to go out un the evening to crowded restaurants - the cooking facilities could have been better. The host responded quickly to a problem with the TV.
Hotel staff was very accommodating .. we were using Zwolle to bookend a multi-day walking trip so left most of our luggage at the hotel.
Great that they had free minibar in the rooom .. light snacks, Coca-cola, beer all as part of the room rate.
We booked the privelege room, there were free minibar items and also a Nespresso coffee machine with cups.
We arrived late in the evening and checked-out early next morning so haven't seen much of the hotel except the room :)
An excellent location, close to the train station and near great restaurants and bars.
A good, clean and comfortable room.
The host was there for breakfast, which was delicious.
The design of the hotel was very modern but classy, the room was very comfortable and clean, the food in the restaurant was nice. The staff was very kind and helpful.
the hotel is always nice and clean and the staff are brilliant. I am always made to feel welcome and the restaurant staff always remember me and welcome me back.
A good value small hotel, easy to find and found a parking lot nearby. Although we arrive late, staff still able to cook as proper dinner. I'd go again.
