Great location and facilities. The hosts and staff were very warm and hospitable, anticipating our needs and proactively offering support (e.g. replacement shoes). The menu for breakfast and dinner was varied, well balanced and tasted great too. Being so close to the main attraction Cetatile Ponorului, we had more time to explore the caves and around without a tight schedule.

I loved the experience in this place mostly because of the stunning views. Its up in the mountains with gorgeous surroundings, very friendly and helpful host. She gave us whatever we needed. U can take advantage of the nature and of the bbq place. We had a lovely rustic countryside experience, drinking fresh milk from the cow 😁 and make a good bbq with the woods the host gave us. I recommend, especially if u want to rent the whole cabin.

The location absolutely amazing, clean air, lot of trees, we could see the traditional occupations of local people. We made excellent walks in the wood and on the mountain. The region is amazing rich in karstik natural monuments. We enjoyed the local food and tasted bio local products.
The acces from north is very bad, but the road from Pietroasa is excellent

Fairly small place with several bed-and-breakfast facilities all offering similar accommodations at 3 star level. Not a soul walking outside before 8am (breakfast time), fresh air and fairly quiet all day long. Excellent position in the middle of most interest points in the area (Muntii Apuseni), ideal place to set base for one liking to walk trails. Buy yourself a good map at lowest available scale, most places in Padis or Glavoi have few choices to offer. Several natural caves can be explored with proper equipment, one should at least have a good headlamp handy.
There was some ABC type store never opened during our stay, stocked with bags of chips and not much else as we peered through the window, I was able to buy from the resorts bottled water and soft drinks, chocolate, chips and cookies, no fruits and vegetables at all anywhere, thus bring your own. Mobile signal intermittent/unreliable with my "moto g6" phone oscillating between one line and none, missed few calls while there, but working fine on most trails. Transportation to and back to civilizations can be difficult if you don't have your own. June tends to be on the rainy side but I like it for finding the most pristine nature and clean trails washed by the winter snow, September is considered the best by many others for fair weather.
