Samarkand is a city rich with history, where every site has a story. The main attractions like Registan Square are stunning, and the local food is delicious. People here are very friendly and welcoming. I also found the city to be very safe. It's a great place that feels both ancient and welcoming.

Registan square is quite beautiful and a must visit place in Uzbekistan. In terms of food, there are very less options for Vegetarian food but have 2-3 good Indian restaurant where one can find some good Indian Veg food. Cabs are also very cheap here to roam around the city.

There are a lot to see in Samarkand given the fact that it's one of the most important cities in the silk road history. Don't miss the light show in the Registan Square. I didn't expect there are so many tress in the city given the fact that it's a landlock country here. Flowers blossom everywhere in spring. I am fascinated by the food here.
the staff were all amazing, friendly and egger to help, everybody. I felt like am between my family. I felt safe with my for 2 females. The boss there Mr. Bigzout is respectful and honest gentleman. The Hotle as building is new.
in Uzbekistan not a lot of people speak English but, in this hotel, there is no issue with that.
next to the place there is very nice, yummy food too, but the smell of the BBQ can reach your room. there are a lot of restaurants and cafes close by. There is a balcony but just on main street.
My room (deluxe double) was spotlessly clean. I really loved the decor, and the bed was large and comfortable. Every detail had been thought out. Lots of storage, a fridge, great lighting, and a good hairdryer.
The garden is lovingly tended to by the owners, and a great spot to relax. I was able to check-in a little early, which was nice after a train ride from Tashkent.
Staff are kind and speak English. It's possible to pay by card.
My favourite hotel stay in Uzbekistan.
A super nice hostel with a fabulous hovli (garden). They set up several of those wooden platforms with dasturxons (draped with rugs and korpachas of course) where you can just sit and drink tea and instant coffee, available at all hours of the day, and listen to birds sing. The WiFi is some of the fastest i've ever encountered in Uzbekistan - 60mbps! and the staff, who seem to just be a big family, are endlessly friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel. In city center. Great staff including Nigora and Ildor, both helpful. Beautiful decor including traditional Uzbek display with clothing and haystacks in hallways. Near supermarket, one block away. Outstanding restaurant about a 8 - 10 minute walk away. Heat, wifi, and elevator worked. Comfortable bed. City view. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again if return to Samarkand.
Location is excellent, just near to Gur Amir and other historical places in the City. Breakfast with Samarkandi hospitality was very delicious and staff were highly professional and best in their work. I appreciate and highly recommend this place especially for those who want to feel historical spirit of the most beautiful City and the Heart of Uzbekistan, ancient and Great Samarkand!
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel which is just a ten minute walk to the Registan. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and we enjoyed hearing about the history of Samarkand and the the hotel from Jahongir. The breakfasts were the best that we had in Uzbekistan and we appreciated the cups of tea when we returned from our explorations. Highly recommended!
The staff are friendly and helpful, the property manager can speak native english and easy to communicate. He help us to arrange a car to Shahrisabz. He also recommended the best burger restaurant and sightseeing point in smarkland to us.
The room is clean, spacious and with equiped kitchen. We can cook anytime. The best hotel we stay in Uzbekistan
AMAZING space and incredibly kind staff. The breakfasts were the best, most heartwarming meals we had throughout our time in Uzbekistan, and the courtyard was such an oasis. We were so happy to spend hours relaxing in the courtyard in the late afternoons, getting away from the heat. We're so glad we stayed here, and highly recommend!
My first Visit to Uzbekistan, in fact i was a bit scary about the people behavior, but i found my self wrong, when firstly i delt with hotel medina staff and their response towards our facilitation. really, i will recommend to stay at Medina hotel. its quite cheaper, well facilitated, cooperative and smiling staff.
Amazing guesthouse super close to Registan. Very quiet location, the family running the place is kind and very helpful. The owners went the extra mile to help us which made our time in Samarkand very pleasant.
Breakfast is a real feast! It was the best breakfast we had in our time in Uzbekistan!
The hotel and the room were clean. Bathroom and room looked recently renovated. Everything was quite simple, with the minimum things you need for a comfortable stay, but no cozy. For the value I expected more comparing with the prices paid in other hotels in Uzbekistan.
An excellent hotel in a good location, and I especially liked the guys at the reception who are very helpful and well educated by the management on how to treat guests. Everyone speaks solid English, which is not very common in Uzbekistan. I recommend the hotel :)
Opted to stay here my last night in Uzbekistan purely because it's attached to one of the more highly rated restaurants in the city. The restaurant didn't disappoint. The room was also very spacious and impeccably clean.
Travel is about experience, and if you want to experience true ambiance of Uzbekistan, hospitality and care, you won't find a better place! The hosts are excellent, and are there to resolve all your problems.
Very pleasant staff and even when light was switched in all region (it sometimes happen in Uzbekistan) they did everything, wifi, light and etc for I feel comfortable.
