Sadly, the coast is ruined by the stench of decaying kelp – it is absolutely overwhelming! On the positive side, though, watching the sunset across the sea was lovely. The restaurants give generous portions and are not at all overpriced such as in and around Cape Town. I’m not sure I’d return to Kommetjie, I think, from what I’ve seen of Scarborough, I would far prefer that area.

Although we live in Somerset West, Kommetjie has never been on our 'stay over' list. But needing somewhere relatively close to CT (for the 'workers'), surfing (for the visitor) and not a long drive (for the parents). A large family home with sufficient space and sleeping for four adults was the main criterion. The Aloha setting looked idea without breaking the bank. As it turned out an ideal choice. Accommodation and surf, rather than Kommetjie dictated. The spectacular beach setting makes the place - otherwise......
Amazing house, everything was perfect and great ! Martina is an amazing host, very fast and easy communication. The house is extremely clean and new. The position is the best in Kommetjie close to everything, the beach and all the shops and cafe & restaurants but very quiet. A beautiful view on the mountain and Ocean and surrounded by trees like in a tree house with a beautiful terrace where we spent the nights having a barbeque and a glass of wine. I deeply reccomend this place, we can't wait to be back !
An idyllic spot right by the sea shore overlooking a natural tidal pool. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the rocks to the lighthouse. Great for watching the local surfers at sunset.
The cottage is a wing of the owners house but is private and self contained. It is spacious with a stoep looking out onto the sea just yards away.
Well equipped and comfortable. Good shower. The owners are very friendly and helpful, offering useful local knowledge. Kommetjie is a stunning location on the Cape peninsula.
The Jack and Jasper Inn met all our requirements for our 1 night stay in Kommetjie . Within walking distance to the beach.
Comfortable beds with on suite bathroom with shower . Separate tv room and swimming pool on site for the use of quests Good breakfast served before we left in the morning. Linnette made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived till we left the next morning. We enjoyed our stay at Jack & Jasper inn and will surely stay there again in future should the need arises.
This villa is literally on the BEST spot of Kommetjie. You can sit on your terrace while feeling the beach sand under your feet. Wake up, grab a towel and jump directly into the ocean - if you looking for this - you need to go to this place. Also a pool heated by solar is provided as well as a proper staffed kitchen, very comfortable beds and a light airy and modern architecture of the house. We really enjoyed our time at this place.
Everything - very clean, spacious, awesome shower, comfy beds. 3 rooms and open plan kitchen, ideal
for family. Excellent amenities. Convenience store is a 5 min walk from the house.
Kommetjie is lovely and quiet. A 15 min walk to lighthouse; and the beach is a few minutes walk down the road. Highly recommended self catering accommodation.
The location was in a really peaceful and quiet place. The cottage was OK for a weekend getaway. We loved the garden area...very tranquil but we hardly used it because of snakes and baboons... Which thank goodness we did not encounter during our stay. Kommetjie is known for snakes and baboons but you just have to be awake and alert.
A comfortable and quiet location for our four nights in Kommetjie, close to the beautiful beaches and local restaurants. A warm and informative welcome from Michele who served an excellent breakfast each morning. Will definitely stay here again should we ever be in the area.

Perfect little spot. Ideal for a couple or small family. Great location. Super friendly and accommodating hosts. Very clean with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday. We loved our stay and will certainly recommend.
