The host family was very nice and made us a delicious japanese breakfast. Furthermore they made great restaurant recommendations. The house is stylishly furnished and has a beautiful view to the valley and the Aso mountains.

Lovely wooden cottage south of Mount Aso. Really nice atmosphere and run by a very kind host who helped us get to and from the train station. Comes with all the facilities you need including a washing machine. Do make sure you have a car when you go here, we did not have one and it made some travel to the volcano a bit challenging (though taxi / hitchhiking did the trick)

The facility all looks just got renovation with high tech inside, but with tradition Japanese style decoration. Live the backyard that we had breakfast by the river the next morning. Comfy bed and cooking stuff all well equipped. Love the vibe so all of our family had really great time staying here.

We really enjoyed our time at Garden Villa Minamiaso. It is a house with 2 floors and it is really big. From the second floor you can see the volcano Aso(if the weather is good and there is no rain). The house is very warm, because they have a lot of conditioners(~4). Kitchen has a lot of items for cooking, but we were so lazy and did not cook at all. The landlord gave us information about the places near the house(shops, thermal water, restaurants, etc.). Also he was so kind to drive us to the Sakura garden (his favorite spot) and the temple near. We really appreciate this, because we didn’t have a car. Thank you so much.

The location of the house with such beautiful scenery was the highlight. We utilized the BBQ on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed and it was quite nice to have. The view while grilling of the volcano was really nice. The home was clean and the kitchen and dining area was quite large. There is a washing machine that also dries the clothes which made it nice to not have to pack so much. The tub was quite sophisticated where you can set the temperature and it would automatically fill. It is good to note that the home is located in the geo park so there are no grocery stores nearby so it is good to get your BBQ supplies and food before arriving to the home.

Nice Household with a beautiful house. Everything is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. You can cook there, even hotpot or bbq

Beautiful house with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay for several days. A real entertainer's home with nice little touches, like a charcoal burner room, kotatsu in the living room, guitar and entertainment system. There was also a washing machine, full bath, BBQ outside, and full kitchen with condiments. If I am in Mt Aso again I will stay here.
