We loved how kind and helpful our hosts were. We loved the monkeys that visited us twice a day too. Our room was large and very clean. The location was great, a 5 minute walk to the centre and 20mins to the government booking office for the Park trips. The host offers free rides to the spice gardens...no need to pay the tuc tuc drivers 200rps!

The location, facilities, hospitality are all beautiful. it is true that it takes a bit of effort to reach the property, about an hours' tuk-tuk/taxi ride from TRV airport - but it's definitely worth the effort! It's in a quiet area, away from the hustle of the 'Cliff Walk', which is about 10 minutes away in a tuk-tuk. The cottages are spacious and SO comfy, clean and beautifully constructed, with a fine attention to comfortable details. The bathroom is huge, with very nice fixtures and great water pressure. The bed is super comfy, nice linens, and you have a nice seating area inside as well as on your private front porch, where you can watch the ocean and sunset! The grounds are well-kept and lush, and the ocean is literally a stones-throw away, with a cute smaller beach directly in front, that feels very private. The breakfast is to order, and really delicious. The restaurant serves regular meals that are also very nice! But the absolute best part is the staff and workers there. A young man named Nevin mans the front desk and tends to everyone staying there in the most personal and professional manner. He seems to always be available, and eager to help, or share information...always aware, but never intrusive in the least! For a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience, Kerala Cottages is the BEST! I was SO sad to leave, and hope to visit again soon! A+++ experience!!

The way the hosts called us before we reached and talked with our driver so that we don't face any language barrier. On reaching, we found out we had booked the wrong kind of room. But the owners happily offered us another room for no extra charges. The complimentary breakfast was a super treat. Such a beautiful, healthy and delicious combination of traditional and english breakfast, I along with my friends are totally awed at the experience.

An experience we will always remember!! The property is beautiful, full of trees, flowers and plants. The views are amazing and the hammocks are the perfect place to relax. But what made our experience unique, was Bony, the host. He is a very kind, curious, funny and passionate person who will show you around and take care of you with such passion and patience that is inspiring. We really enjoyed the conversations during the jeep trips, and connecting with the other guests. Bony, keep doing what you are doing and you will achieve all your dreams. See you soon!! Tim & Irene

We stayed in the tree house at Kalidasa for 3 nights, what a truly magical experience we had! The accommodation in the treehouse is basic, clean and comfortable, but the setting and the hospitality of Sudheesh and his family are exceptional. Their recommended driver, Namshi, organised all our transport and arranged safaris for us. Sudheesh’s wife and mother produced delicious home cooked meals and Sudheesh was very happy to share his extensive knowledge of the area. They made our stay, in what is already a really beautiful place, as good as it could be. If you get chance to have a massage whilst you’re there, do, it’s another great experience! For a genuine local and back to nature experience, we highly recommend this place.

Beautiful views, slightly out of Munnar which meant it was quiet and peaceful, the hosts Ashik and Joy were extremely hospitable providing great food and helping us organise our days in Munnar and travel.
