We loved this cottage, it was a little heavenly home (while a snow storm was happening outside) and we felt warm, cosy & safe. Well equipped, and of course beautiful surroundings. The property is in a gorgeous location overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Lots of options for hiking and sightseeing nearby. Cozy and comfortable cabin had everything we needed. I’m so glad that we booked 2 nights - you’ll regret leaving after just one night. We didn’t see the lake monster, but did have beautiful aurora borealis shows both nights. This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip around Iceland.

The view, the hot tub, everything about it was amazing. I couldn’t have imagined a better little place to stop for a couple of days. All I can say is WOW!

No shoes allowed in the house which is good. Owner let us cook our own dinner too! Highly recommend for family

Situated in Seyðisfjörður and only 4.1 km from Gufufoss, Botnahlid Villa features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. The property is located in beautiful and natural surroundings. one of our best stays in Iceland! to top it all the owner Asdis is a wonderful person who had great tips and was always available for help. She makes yummy chia and fruit yoghurt! The property has a hot tub in the beautiful outdoors and we had the most relaxing time enjoying it! A must go place if you plan to be in the area!
