This is a quiet little town with enough charm for a single night, but no more. All the people are friendly and English-speaking. When one of the restaurants was closed, the owner directed us to another one where they informed us the kitchen was closing within 11 minutes and asked us to expedite our order, which was nice to know so we didn't go hungry. I left the best till last…Robert-Jan was an exceptional host and owner. I had a crash on a bike and he organised a friend who a doctor to come and check me out, he then made an appointment for an emergency doctor for 8:15pm, he then drove me there and waited while I had stitches. He constantly checked I was ok over the 3 days of my stay. When I come back to the Netherlands I will definitely stay at the hotel.KarinAustralia

The dining room overlooked an enticing garden area. It's the ideal romantic getaway, and in fact there was a newly married Dutch couple among the guests. Our host served a bountiful, tasty breakfast, and was so very helpful in giving advice about Giethoorn (thank you Jaap!), as well as being accommodating about check-in and check-out instructions. I would come back again and again.

I slept in a boxed bed. It also functions as a tea and coffee shop. Twenty minute walk to the train station and buses.
