木木木木 KIGI MOKU MOKU se găsește în Sasebo, la 27 km de Huis Ten Bosch, și are o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. Breakfast was so awesome. The owner lady got up early in the morning and she prepared a Japanese-style breakfast with warm care. I was able to use the sauna even after the breakfast, so I had a pleasant meal and enjoyed the sauna. I left after enjoying a very good rest in hospitality that I can't feel anywhere else in Japan. The bedding in the room was comparable to a 5-star hotel. All the usable spaces were really clean and organized, so just looking at them made me feel good. The usable space is very large compared to typical accommodations in Japan.

The host is really friendly and I had nice breakfast. There’s a bar you may order at night but it’s a pity I didn’t have sufficient time here, wish you all the best!

Guest House「さごんヴィレッジ」 se află în localitatea Tsushima din regiunea Nagasaki, la 36 km de Sanctuarul Watatsumi. One day, soon I hope, I'll be able to be fluent enough with my Japanese to review places like this one. Nevertheless, still not the case. :'( This place could be described with one world: fabulous. Really, totally, incredibly fabulous. When the bus left me in the middle of nowhere, when I crossed a town slowly, without population to carry out its history, when I found out that the school before the guesthouse was in fact the guesthouse (yeah, should have checked /o), I was as excited as afraid. That was for naught though. Understanding the village his population and history, helps a lot understanding the place. Without children to study in it, the school was closed around 10 years ago, and then repaired, treated with a lot of love and respect until the result you will find there: a cosy, comfortable, clean and warm place run by a bunch of adorable people, always there for advices, recommendations and useful tips. Sleeping alone (not many visitors there !) in this huge empty school may seem a little gloomy and scary (some horror movie vibes ?), you will soon forget about it while enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding the school, while meeting the villagers and the workers at the tea farm nearby (which were the reason why I went there the first place) and while enjoying the delicious food provided by the hosts (on certain days). These few days were the last of a fantastic month of holidays I spent in Kyushu. Staying there was one of the best ideas I had for sure! お世話になりました!

Yukinoura Guest House Moritaya se află în Saikai, la 38 km de Parcul Păcii, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, un lounge comun și parcare privată gratuită. Staff was incredibly friendly and treated us very well. It was a pleasure to talk with everyone. The whole place felt like home. I would definitely visit again!

Minshuku Umi no Sachi se găsește în Sasebo, la 40 km de Huis Ten Bosch, și are camere cu climatizare. Meal was yummy and fish was fresh....we loved the sashimi

TSUDOI guest house se găsește în Unzen, la 47 km de Muzeul de Istorie Nagasaki, și are unități de cazare cu aer condiționat și facilități de grătar. Best place to stay in Unzen! Very friendly and welcoming owner. It felt super cozy and easy. Also the free onsen tickets are a big plus

Ikibase Guest House se găsește în Iki, la 15 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Tsutsuki, și oferă un lounge comun și parcare privată gratuită. The location was near some really nice beaches. The staff were wonderful.

Guesthouse Wasabi se află în Iki și include o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă, și WiFi gratuit în întreaga proprietate. A really nice hostel, the host Takuya is very accommodating and helps where he can, rarely experienced such hospitality. He picked me up from the port, took the time to answer my questions about the island and went through the map with me. The hostel is equipped with everything you need. The coffee machine was my friend. I borrowed a scooter for my stay from Takuya, just driving around the island adds to the atmosphere and the island has also the perfect size for it. Generally speaking, without any kind of transport possibility (scooter, (e)bike etc.) it will be hard to get anywhere on the island in a reasonable time. When it comes to alcohol Iki is known for Shōchū, but if you are interested in craft beer, there is a small brewery in Katsumoto called Island Brewery with very good beer. You can also get a few varieties at the big local supermarket near the hostel. And as always in a dorm room, sleeping depends heavily on your roommates, like snoring and so on.
