My room was clean, larger than I expected, and even had a sun deck where I enjoyed my morning coffee. I also enjoyed the small bottle of wine Linda had near the coffee maker.

Very friendly host with a nice house in a quiet area. The Check-In in was easy and quick. The room and bathroom were clean and breakfast was included. Questions via email are answered quickly and Nijmegen is easy to reach by car. Parking spaces are also available.

What did we like? Everything! We were there for the Operation Market Garden commemorations and the property is located just a fifteen minute walk from the drop zone, where, indeed, I parachuted on one of the commemoration days. And if you are into that part of history, then you are within easy reach by car of all the British sites from the battle: the Airborne Museum at the Hartenstein in Oosterbeek, the Airborne Cemetery, alsoin Oosterbeek, Arnhem Bridge, the St Elisabeth's Hospital, the Old Church in Oosterbeek, and many other sites. The village of Heelsum is delightful: clean, quiet, well-kept. There is a supermarket just a few minutes walk from the property, also a place where you can rent bikes. The property itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped, with a strong "at-home" feel to it. You can sit outside on the small porch and enjoy a meal there, and even though it is close to the main house where the hosts live, you have all the privacy you need. As for the hosts: I have stayed at many B&B-type properties in the Netherlands and France, and Betty and Sjaak are the kindest, most considerate, and helpful hosts you could hope to have. We are definitely going back. What a wonderful trip we had!
