The Madalena is a great Pousada, like a small boutique hotel. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, well-decored. You can find everything you need for a nice stay. There are some rooms with a small balcony, excellent for reading and chilling, and there is also a pool for guests' use. The breakfast is a feast, superb! The staff and owner are really friendly and nice. The hotel is near everything in Imbassai and has a parking lot... I certainly enjoyed staying at the Madalena!!

I loved this place! I went with my husband and son over the Christmas holiday. There were specials dinners on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The roast turkey on Christmas Eve was extremely juicy and perfectly cooked, and there was suckling pig on Christmas. In fact, all of the food we ate there was exceptional. The location was perfect for us, too. It was secluded and the beautiful beach located there was clean and almost empty. When we weren't swimming, we were relaxing at the covered tables by the ocean and listening to the sound of the surf. There was a more lively scene at the pool for people who like that, too. The staff was helpful and friendly. The prices were fair, and the drinks were cold. What else could we ask for?

Accessible natural swimming pools form when the tide is out, just steps away from the hotel. Additionally, the Project Tamar location, dedicated to sea turtle protection and rehabilitation, is only a two-minute walk down the beach. The town center itself is just another five-minute walk away, boasting an array of shops, restaurants, ice cream/acai parlors and bars.

Situata lungo il fiume di un tranquillo paese a circa 250 km da Salvador e dotata di connessione Wi-Fi gratuita, la Pousada o Forte è il luogo perfetto in cui trascorrere una vacanza rilassante... Posto incantevole. Staff gentilissimo. Ottimo servizio e pulizia. La migliore opzione di alloggio per Mangue seco. Si trova a 7/8 min a piedi dal paesino. Il ristorante dell’hotel è sempre aperto fino le 21.00. Noi lo abbiamo raggiunto con transfert privato da salvador (Fabiana ci ha aiutato ad organizzarlo). Altrimenti si può raggiungere in macchina e lasciarla posteggiata senza alcun problema. La barca a motore la organizza anche la Pousada. Alternativamente l’aeroporto di aracaju credo sia un po’ più vicino rispetto a salvador.

The apartment was beautiful, quiet, clean, nicely laid out and the beds were really comfortable. Everything was quality from the bed sheets to the pillows and breakfast. The staff were fantastic too. Shout-out to Stella for answering all our questions and helping us out. The pool was also fantastic and the seats down at the lakeside are very tranquil. We also took advantage of the watersports. Highly recommend. This is a new hotel and if this level of quality is maintained we'll definitely be returning next year.
