I checked out and a hour later realised that I'd left my walking boots in the room. So I phoned them to let them know and the lady said she'd send someone to look for them to put them to oneside so that I could collect when I was passing by a few days later. Three days later I collected them, so thank you Ramada staff!

Just off the Trans-Canada Highway, this hotel is 4 km from Golden Golf Club. It features on-site dining and an indoor pool with hot tub. Soundproofed guest rooms offer free WiFi. The receptionist was very helpful, we were originally allocated a room on its own right by the hotels liquor store. The manager of the store explained that the store was open until 11 at night and her staff would be back and forth between store and room next to ours all the time so it would be noisy although she would ask the staff to try to keep noise to a minimum. When we went back to ask for another room the receptionist was very apologetic - think new and hadn’t realised - she then gave us a room facing the mountains on the 3rd floor. She also rang in the evening to check that everything was ok and asked again each time we passed her in reception.

Featuring mountain views, Golden Acres Mountain Lodge provides accommodation with patio, around 17 km from Golden Golf & Country Club. We loved the ambience, away from the crowds of Banff and Lake Louise. Yoho National Park had a lot to offer. Coming back to a clean comfortable lodge after a long hike was the highlights.
