The majestic Victoria Hotel can be found in Glion above Montreux (connected by funicular) and is renowned for its breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the snow-capped Alps. Overlooking Montreux and Lake Geneva, set in a Mediterranean style sculpture / formal garden, with a genteel, old-Europe atmosphere, this is a gem of a hotel. The staff people went out of their way to take care of us, for example, they got us reservations in the restaurant even though the kitchen was closing. One gentleman, Milos, was extremely helpful and patient with us while we constructed our itinerary and looked for a hotel for the next leg of our trip at the last minute. He was perhaps the most gracious and accommodating front desk professional at a hotel I’ve ever encountered.

Overlooking Lake Geneva and only 20 metres from the lakeshore, this guest house is a 5-minute walk from the train station and the convention centre in Montreux. We had the most wonderful stay here - the staff are phenomenal - so friendly and professional. The hotel itself is lovely and in a great location. Breakfast was delicious too. Will definitely be staying here again - highly recommend!
