The Posada Dos Orillas can be found inside the walls of Trujillo, just 400 metres from the Plaza Mayor. Set in a 16th-centruy building, it has a restaurant, patio and free Wi-Fi. The location was perfect and the room exceeded our expectations.There is parking close by.

NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. The facilities are excellent, the room was quiet (with a nice view of the Guadiana river) and the location was also very good (close to the bridge that leads to the old town). But the highlight was the amicability and professionalism of its staff, particularly DAVID at the reception who went out of his way to give us a nicer room and much earlier than the standard check-in time. This is the attitude that differentiates certain hotel staff from others, and DAVID's attitude in pleasing the customer is rated at the top of his profession. I congratulate NH Extremadura for the quality of its staff, as represented by DAVID.

Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. The Parador is exceptional !!! The bar in the bodega and the wellness center with sauna, jacuzzi was a great surprise. The staff at the reception were very kind.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. Gave us a pillow for our dogs. Checking in and out was easy. Beds are comfortable and showers are nice. The rooms have big televisions. We had a nice dinner and a powerful breakfast in the restaurant. 100% recommended if you are passing through Badajoz area and need a place to stay.

Amazing heating and heated floors in the room. Very kind and attentive owners. The bed was very comfortable and clean. It is a to-order type of buffet. They kept giving me food. 2) The room was really nice, the bed was fantastic. It is just a bit weird that the shower is part of the room and not with the toilet. It is ok since I am alone but very weird if I am with another person. 3) The hotel is very pretty, it is a posh old house in the city center.
