The hotel was spotlessly clean and the evening food and breakfast was wonderful. Unfortunately we had an accident on our way which resulted in a trip to Dole hospital and the staff were amazing and went out of their way to help in any way they could. We will always be grateful and would highly recommend this lovely place.

Situated in Besançon, 10 km from Micropolis, Hôtel AKENA BESANCON features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Our stay at the hotel was just one night, a stopover on the way further south. The hotel is located very close to the A36 motorway, which was ideally suited to our travel plans. But even though we arrived at the hotel four hours before official check-in, the staff were incredibly kind to let us in without any hassle, gifting us a great opportunity to visit Besancon in the afternoon. The restaurant next to the hotel offers a sufficiently broad choice of dishes to match most tastes (though a vegetarian traveller might find the menu a little lacking). The room was very quiet and the bed comfortable enough. The well-appointed bathroom was very clean. Most of the hotel staff do not speak much English, but they are very helpful and communicative. 10/10.
