As the centre piece of Drimsynie Estate, this impressive hotel overlooks its own 9-hole golf course, plus Loch Goil and the Argyllshire mountains. In my view, with Drimsynie, Lochgoilhead is the best wee village in the World (I live in Greece, which has some cracking wee villages, and I have travelled a fair bit)! Drimsynie is an excellent place to go to for a long weekend or a longer holiday, with or without kids. Adults and kids of all ages will love it! There is so much to do and the staff are always willing to help! The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and whether you are golfing, walking, or sailing, you cannot help but be taking in by the majestic scene that is Lochgoil / Lochgoilhead, and the surrounding hills. As a holiday destination, Drimsynie is an ideal place for both active and relaxing holidays! We stayed in the hotel this time but I have also stayed in one of the lodges, and I would recommend both! This is a gem of a hotel and holiday destination!!

Tarbet Hotel ligger i en historisk baronbygning i den ikoniske destination Loch Lomond. The Tarbet was a good location to stay between Edinburgh and Skye. Yes, its older but it is cozy and quaint. We enjoyed the food and cocktails. The service was very good.

The lift was a godsend and I loved the drying rack over the bath. Spacious room and meal in the hot was excellent. Recommend this hotel for sure.

The breakfast was a delight and for all the coffee lovers, there's plenty of choice to kick-start your day. The location is scenic beyond words with the Carrick Castle at your front door (literally!)

Extremely clean and in an ideal location for touring. Ben and Hazel were excellent hosts and served up perfect extensive breakfasts during our brief stay. The free guest parking at the property is most welcome, as this is a feature that can be quite difficult in the area. The view from our bedroom window, over the Lough, was amazing and the hosts were most helpful in offering local knowledge in assisting with our sightseeing.

We were made to feel very welcome, the guesthouse was really lovely, our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing. A lovely relaxing stay, we particularly enjoyed some drinks in the sunshine in the beer garden which looked over the loch.
