Very connected to the community and helpful when finding future accommodation. Bag transfer service to Tarbert given the terrain & wind was much appreciated. PS: cycling onward on a Sunday? Nothing is open so ask for a packed lunch. Lesson learned 😟

We tremendously enjoyed staying at the Old Post Office, which is most likely the cleanest, the coziest and by far the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever stayed at. We loved the tranquility and the remoteness very much indeed and we greatly enjoyed the garden and the exceptional view from the wee entrance room (where we actually spent most of the time because of the view). It was nice to see these businesses being supported this way. I liked the different scents in the rooms. The accommodation was really really comfortable. I honestly did not want to leave. The outdoor space was great for enjoying the sunsets and dark skies. The location is ideal for exploring Uist, Lewis, boat trips and the whole of Harris. Lots of garden birds in the garden enjoying having baths in the burn (I watched them from the stone seat).Excellent local shop just 1 minute down road.

Everything, set in a beautiful location with stunning views across the Atlantic. Views Seals sleeping on a large rock, sea eagles, otters and dolphins. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely big clean rooms with comfy beds. Hosts are very helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Very relaxing. The beaches are stunning, the sea is turquoise and the sand is white, it was like having a tropical beach all to yourself, without the sweltering heat. Just perfect.
