Situated in the picturesque village of Inkpen, the Crown and Garter is a traditional English pub with stylish rooms, a restaurant and bakery. It opens onto a lovely garden. Amazing inn refurbished to a very high standard. The beds were super comfortable and I loved their courtyard. The entire place was beautiful and I could spend hours just sitting there. Food was great the inn - delicious and well cooked. However it would be good to add more options to the breakfast.

The room was lovely, the beds extremely comfortable, the bath big and luxurious, the breakfast very good with lots of choice, and, most of all, the host and hostess were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Near Avebury Stone circle which was fun. And great TV options like Netflix, etc. If you want a quiet evening in. We will definitely return if ever in the area again.

Staff is very friendly and helpful : our friends had a breakdown with their classic car and arrived after midnight and some pizza's were prepared to eat on their room

The property was comfortable, clean and in good order. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Easy access to the room and ample parking space.

The Bear Hotel is a historic inn set in the charming market town of Hungerford in the heart of the North Wessex Downs. We arrived very late cause of a delay, but their welcome made us forget the delay! Never seen friendlier staff, so helpful. I could not say anything bad about our stay here! As for the location, it was very beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. We really liked the old fashion style, with a modern touch. I forgot my E-reader and they notified me straight away and made sure to send it to the Netherlands. That's why they deserve the full 10 points for service as well, it's hard to find staff as friendly and helpful as the people working in this hotel.
