Situato in un edificio del 19° secolo, il Sands Hotel, Orkney si trova lungo le rive di Scapa Flow nel villaggio di Burray. Vanta un bar, un ristorante e splendide viste sul mare. Our room and ensuite was very spacious and clean. Little extras in addition to tea and coffee were very much appreciated. All the staff from reception to restaurant were so helpful and attentive. Location was very handy to St Margaret's Hope ferry. Great range of menu in restaurant for breakfast and dinner. It was obvious that many of the locals also come to enjoy the restaurant. Would highly recommend The Sands.

Fantastic breakfast with the chef cooking a perfect fried egg for a very fussy person and amazing porridge with rhubarb compote.

Situato sulle Isole Orcadi, rispettivamente a 22,5 km e a 30 minuti d'auto dalla città e dall'aeroporto di Kirkwall, l'albergo a 3 stelle Smithfield Hotel offre un parcheggio gratuito, un bar e un... L'albergo è delizioso molto curato. La colazione è super. Consiglio vivamente anche il ristorante

Situato sulle rive del Lago di Loch Harray, a 15 minuti di auto dalle principali cittadine di Kirkwall e Stromness, il Merkister Hotel, a conduzione familiare da oltre 30 anni, vanta un parcheggio... Hotel familiare in bellissima posizione su un lago ed in ottima posizione per visitare le orcadi in auto. Ottimo il ristorante.

Situato a Kirkwall, a 2,1 km dalla spiaggia di Scapa, l'Orkney Hotel offre un ristorante, un parcheggio privato gratuito, un bar e un giardino. Orkney hotel is well situated in the heart of Kirkwall, right next to St. Magnus Cathedral and near to the town centre. Staff was warm, friendly and hospitable and even though the check-in was late at midnite, night manager was on guard to provide the keys and helped with the parking of car. The hotel as well as the selected King Room provided the vintage look, along with the artistic poster bed and other furniture. Netflix on a big screens tv in the evenings was good to relax , added by the jacuzzi in the the bath - the icing on the cake ! Breakfast was good though options were limited. Even we were given the small packed breakfast a night before the next day early checkout, which was very thoughtful gesture from the staff. Large selection of whisky at the hotel's bar was attractive. Overall, though pricey esp. in off season but a good stay to spend short time in Kirkwall.
