Nestled in the picturesque Scottish Highlands, Fonab Castle, refurbished and opened in 2013, boasts luxurious rooms, scenic views, mature gardens, free WiFi, free parking, and 2 restaurants. I loved the main building, the anex we had the room in, our room, the gardens, the exceptional breakfast, heartwarming introdudtion of the place also the receptionist was really nice. I have been to numorous hotels, but this one was different: somhow nicer and also more friendly, like made me feel comfortable from the first moment.

Situated in Dunkeld, Tay House is a self catering establishment with views of the River Tay. Tay House has a terrace at the back of the building with river views. Wonderful, we had a great time; beautiful location, nice staff, great room.

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, The Crees Room only NO BAR OR RESTAURANT is situated in Abernethy, 34 km from Discovery Point and 38 km from St Andrews University. The service and the hotel was perfect. If you ride in their region you should stop there. The rooms are big and they look new. You should taste their wonderful breakfast ;-)

The Merryburn - Rooms and Courtyard Studios is a few minutes' walk from Dunkeld and Birnam Railway Station at the gateway to the Highlands and is a listed Victorian building. Very cute hotel, room was beautifully decorated and spacious for myself. Well equipped room as well for what you needed for a few nights stay. Very clean too. Property was easy walk to local attractions (Birnam and Dunkeld) and conveniently driveable to surrounding areas. The two staff/owners I met were really lovely.

Situated in 1.5 acres of elevated grounds, 'Knockendarroch Hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Pitlochry town centre. The service was exceptional, we were upgraded on arrival to a room with a balcony. The food was great and plenty of parking spaces. The rooms were a good size and comfortable.

Set 10 km from Castle Menzies, The Grandtully Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Grandtully and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Lovely little hotel in quiet Grandtully. We enjoyed the food and stay at this small inn, and walked one afternoon along the river bank to the next town as well as visited (the outside at least - as it was closed until 2 PM) the nearby Menzies Castle.
