This 17th century coaching house is set in the quaint village of Stilton. With a history dating back to the 1500s, it offers charming accommodation with a stylish restaurant, bistro and cosy bar. Great hotel with historic story about the Cheese. Really enjoyed staying here and the breakfast was lovely. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Keep it up.

In the heart of Peterborough, the exclusive 4-star Bull Hotel is opposite the Queensgate shopping centre. The room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The location is excellent in the old town so we walked everywhere.

The Holiday Inn Express Peterborough offers en suite rooms with a flat-screen TV with Freeview and power showers. It is 4 miles from the city centre, next to the East of England showground. Really lovely and in a great location to drive to the city centre or walk to local restaurants.

Set in a 17th century manor house, the Orton Hall Hotel & Spa is nestled in 20 acres of mature parkland in the conservation village of Orton Longueville. The hotel is beautiful, our room was spacious and very clean. Nice park around the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, wide choice and everything was very tasty. Highly recommended.

Our room was lovely and comfortable and the bar had a great atmosphere. The owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome.

I ended up at the Black Horse after being stranded at Peterborough due to an LNER situation - I tried booking hotels in town and they had run out of spaces so I randomly chose a reasonably priced one that was accessible - which ended up being the Black Horse. It looked very nice from the photos and lived up to this image - it's a gorgeous place - an old-fashioned inn with a restaurant, bar and rooms, beautifully decorated. The young woman on duty who checked me in (I can't remember her name but she was great) was extremely welcoming, reassuring and accommodating. The dinner was exceptional - the best gluten-free fish and chips I have tasted! (Coeliacs should check if the tartare sauce is gluten free though) It was great to be so warm and well-fed in such a nice environment after being stuck on the train and then a cold platform for several hours. I'd definitely recommend this place. My room was large and comfortable with space to work and a really good shower. They even let me work remotely the next morning teaching music online no bother! (In fact I got a round of applause from the locals in bar next door when I finished :D) Altogether very friendly, comfortable, amenable and relaxed place. The young bar staff were also great - relaxed, resourceful and accommodating. I'd definitely choose to stay here if I was in the area again, absolutely.

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is opposite and close to the A1. Large rooms are en suite and there are excellent leisure facilities including a pool and gym. Really comfortable and spacious rooms which are well equipped and very clean. Good beds and plenty of towels and toiletries. The hotel has a lovely spa, with a well designed pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, as well as loungers for reading. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. big and convenient car park too, as well as polite and courteous staff.
