Set in Sligo, 13 km from Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Markree Castle offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Staying in such a magical, well maintained castle was a dream. The gardens were great and really enjoyed exploring the castle and all the rooms.

Overlooking Mount Knocknarea, the Strandhill Lodge and Suites are 10 minutes’ walk from sandy beaches and just 1-mile from Sligo Airport. Rooms have i-Pod docks and sea or countryside views. The staff were fantastic! Definitely get a balcony room with a view of the water.

On the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, the Waterfront House & Restaurant offers luxury boutique accommodation and breathtaking views over Killala Bay and golden Enniscrone Beach. Food and breakfast were amazing, views were gorgeous, downstairs and in the bedroom, hotel was warm, staff were friendly, and the hotel was so close to everything.

Nestled on a private estate of over 1,000 acres in the picturesque Irish countryside, Temple House is a luxury Georgian mansion with views of a 13th-century lakeside castle of the Knights Templar. Dinner and breakfast with the other guests was very enjoyable. The house and grounds were pleasant and welcoming.

Located in the heart of Sligo town, Riverside Hotel offers spacious and stylish en-suite rooms with free WiFi. Sligo bus and train stations are within a 10-minute walk. We had a large family gathering, on the weekend of July 15th, with many bookings, and some changes, so it was quite complicated for the staff, but they were extremely patient and professional. We were able to reserve separate area in the bar, just for ourselves. perfect for our group. We did this on both nights and there was no charge at all. It had it own TV also, which was fantastic as it was a weekend of golf and GAA. Check in was perfect, I wish I could remember the name of the young man who did our check in, he was fantastic, and looked after us during ourstay. Other family members remarked the same thing. If management is reading this, I hope they can trace you I mention. Location is fantastic, right on the sie of the river.
