The hotel is exceptionally clean and modern. The staff was accommodating and friendly, and has a great location in a quiet area and it’s just Minutes to the center. The breakfast was unbelievable. We would stay here again, and recommended very highly.

Isang eleganteng Art Nouveau building ang Villa Maria na makikita sa isang green area ng San Menaio, 250 metro mula sa beach at 500 metro mula sa train station. Superb and luxurious comfort in a clean and well appointed hotel. A welcome night of sprawling rest after a day's travel and a single-bed the night before. In mid October San Menaio is largely closed but Villa Maria, a stately pink mansion tucked away quietly in its luscious green garden surrounded by pines, keeps going to November. It is just 5 minutes walk to a sensational sandy beach, with a crossing over the inevitable railway line right below, so no need to detour for miles as can happen. The beach was empty apart from one fisherman and handful of walkers, and I had a blissful 4pm swim in 24 degree sunshine. Villa Maria also has a VERY good restaurant (the squid was superb, as were the maccheroncini) which rightly attracted many non-residents. Spacious car park, which is a small but appreciable asset, when one is in a big car in Italy. All at a bargain price, which may have been because I was out of season but was the best value in all of Italy so far. And i had breakfast with a fox. A great discovery and highly recommend.
