It was so refreshing to have part of it outside and an actual ice cold bath. Cute to have the peepholes with shutters so you could look outside while no one could look inside. The inside bath made my skin supersmooth. Nice dry sauna. Cool idea to have shower baskets with shampoo and conditioner for specific hairtypes to choose from. There was also a magnificent massage chair 👌 the extras like ice cream and free ramen were also appreciated. Loved how they decorated it with traditional Aomori Nebuta made by a local famous artist. They had tourist information on their tv which was really helpful. Room was small but everything was there, even space to hang your clothes to dry after washing them for free. Breakfast was abundant and well taken care of with a lot of diversity. Staff were all very helpful and kind. The apple juice was delicious ❤️ This hotel is worth going to Aomori for!

Good location for day tripping Tohoku region
Sendai is a great hub for accessing the Tohoku region. There isn't anything particularly exciting about this big city but it's in a great location to access other areas.

Good if you are like non big cities
Exellent beef, plenty choices of o sake. If you like sashimi or sushi you should go to Tokyo. Matsushima is not so exciting as expected but general tohoku Japan is brilliant. If you ever want a escape from cities Sendai is a good place to start with. I had the best shower & bath experience here in my hotel room.

Senday subway opened Tosai line. This line goes Arai to Yagiyama via sendaistation and Tohoku univercity. From Kawauchi to Ygiyama it runs mountain tunnel root, and Aobaya station is very deep. At Hirose river and Tatsunokuchi it cross by bridges. At kokusai center station you can enjyo the train crosing Hirose river. And this station has ovservation deck and it's confortable.

Sendai est une étape intéressante pour qui veut visiter la région du Tohoku. Le quartier autour de la gare est animé et c'est très bon endroit pour le shopping, avec son grand mall, un ensemble de galeries piétonnes couvertes, bordé de boutiques et de restaurants. Depuis Sendai, on accède facilement (en train) à Mastushima et sa célèbre baie, Ishinomaki, Yema-Dera. À voir également : le mont Zao (de préférence en voiture).

I've made several visits to Sendai since the region experienced the March 2011 devastation: the warm, friendliness of its residents always impresses me. A great base to see more of Tohoku, but check with the Tourist Office in JR Sendai to be sure of the best train connections to outlying areas, such as Ishinomaki and Matsushima. "Local" trains may take longer than you anticipate, so aim for the "Rapid" train if possible. Ishinomkai's "Asatte" offers a warm welcome, lovely food and beautiful local crafts and foods. It's on the left of Manga Road, not too far from Ishinomaki station and deserves a leisurely eat and browse. This area's recovery continues to be inspirational.

Sendai is the largest city (population-wise) in Tohoku. Lots of great shopping and dining around (and away from) the station/downtown area. Reliable mass transit and convenient to get around. It's like a "Little Tokyo" in Tohoku, but not as insanely hectic. It's a "small" big city. Highly recommended if you're tired of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo/Kanto.

Great town.
Great town. Has shinkansen so you can travel to other province in tohoku easily. Clis road is a great place for shopping in sendai full of restaurant and shops. I really like Mode-off it's a second hand clothing shop which has a lot of inexpensive clothes. I get a trench coat there for just 1500¥! Rikyu is a reccommended dish of sendai you can find a lot of rikyu restaurant there. Real delish!

When we booked non-smoking room was not available so we had to book a smoking room but the smoking room we got didn't smell like cigarette at all which we assumed that it was well cleaned and maintained! The hotel was right next to Sendai station and the shopping mall which was very convenience for us to travel around tohoku area using Sendai as a hub.

This is my favorite hotel in Tohoku! I have no disparaging comments about the Sendai Westin. Miss Kato and Miss Mori, staff members at the front desk, again provided tremendous help and unsolicited kindness, helping with reservations for restaurants, taxis, etc. The hotel should be proud to have these two exceptional staff members in their employ.

The breakfast is amazing. Definitely try their Tohoku specialty breakfast. Must book breakfast in advance, sometimes it gets fully booked. There's also free drinks and snack bars that runs from the afternoon to late evening. Rooms are quite spacious for Japan. Close to the station, and there's a 7-11 on the first floor.

The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower.
