The wonderful place to stay, friendly owner (Nimal), the best rice and curry we've ever tried in Sri Lanka! The room has all basic things you need: comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure, AC. The hotel surrounded by forest, just 2 mins to Sinharaja NP office, but many endemic animals can be seen right from your balcony! I've photographed a couple of grey hornbills (male and female), blue magpie and even purple-faced langurs (thanks to Nimal again!). We've spent just one night there, but it's definitely worth a longer stay if you have enough time to relax in peaceful jungle area. P.S. Inside Sinharaja forest we were guided by Nadika (ask her at the national park office). She's a good guide and even found a pair of Sri Lanka frogmouths for us [you're hardly find these birds yourself ;)]

The atmosphere of the place and the energy of the people working in this hotel are amazing. Upon arrival, Ice tea was like a friendly gesture, a flower on the table, cool room design, floor-to-ceiling windows, a view of the pond with water lilies in the fog in the morning - indescribable. very very tasty and varied breakfasts and generally very tasty prepared food. the best owner Prasad who's meeting guests like old friend and always in touch and manager of the restaurant Tikiriki, and wonderful women who work for our pleasure. El Sinharaja Forest Edge se encuentra junto al bosque de Sinharaja, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. The place was incredible, one of our favourites stays in Sri Lanka. They were very flexible with us with the tor schedule (because we only had one day to did it) and very fair with the prices. The room was very clean and the swimming pool amazing!

The forest tour that was organized by the owner was great, we requested for a short tour as our stay was short. Owner was good enough to accommodate our need, thanks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and well versed in English. We loved the peacefulness when it hits dark, the hotel and surrounding were extremely quite, the only noises we heard were the insects and frog, we loved the serenity. Food was good and quick. We loved the location of the open restaurant, it was raining at the time, we got real rain forest experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. We loved the hospitality of the staff. There is nothing to complaint. We would definitely go there once again with kids when we can.

Really magical place. The owners are unbelievably cute and prepared us amazing dinner and breakfast and we’re really really welcoming. The view of the room and the sitting area was stunning. It was hard to leave as they really make everything to make you feel at home. Absolutely recommendable. Booking shows the property on the map. On the point on the main road there is a little way down in the forest and that’s where the rainforest view guesthouse is. So if you arrive at night and you can’t find it straight away - just call the number in the profile and they come pick you up.
