Surrounded by picturesque mountain views, Birds Paradise Hotel provides charming accommodation in Kalawana. Authentic Sri Lankan-style meals can be enjoyed at the on-site restaurant. The wonderful place to stay, friendly owner (Nimal), the best rice and curry we've ever tried in Sri Lanka! The room has all basic things you need: comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure, AC. The hotel surrounded by forest, just 2 mins to Sinharaja NP office, but many endemic animals can be seen right from your balcony! I've photographed a couple of grey hornbills (male and female), blue magpie and even purple-faced langurs (thanks to Nimal again!). We've spent just one night there, but it's definitely worth a longer stay if you have enough time to relax in peaceful jungle area. P.S. Inside Sinharaja forest we were guided by Nadika (ask her at the national park office). She's a good guide and even found a pair of Sri Lanka frogmouths for us [you're hardly find these birds yourself ;)]

In terms of location, style, room design, the owner's attention to details, food, staff, organization - this is the best place I've stayed in in Sri Lanka. and it’s especially incredible that all this was in a relict forest, where it was obviously much more difficult to organize everything at this high level. The atmosphere of the place and the energy of the people working in this hotel are amazing. Upon arrival, Ice tea was like a friendly gesture, a flower on the table, cool room design, floor-to-ceiling windows, a view of the pond with water lilies in the fog in the morning - indescribable. very very tasty and varied breakfasts and generally very tasty prepared food. the best owner Prasad who's meeting guests like old friend and always in touch and manager of the restaurant Tikiriki, and wonderful women who work for our pleasure. Sinharaja Forest Edge is situated right on the edge of the UNESCO site Sinharaja Rain Forest. The property offers complimentary transportation to the rain forest from Mederipitiya Village. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Sagara as our guide in the rainforest. He was very passionate and enthusiastic. He showed us various endemic species of birds, insects, plants and reptiles. We saw monkeys and beautiful waterfalls. Afterwards we enjoyed tea at his beautiful accommodation. Sinharaja Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Deniyaya. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving international cuisine. The forest tour that was organized by the owner was great, we requested for a short tour as our stay was short. Owner was good enough to accommodate our need, thanks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and well versed in English. We loved the peacefulness when it hits dark, the hotel and surrounding were extremely quite, the only noises we heard were the insects and frog, we loved the serenity. Food was good and quick. We loved the location of the open restaurant, it was raining at the time, we got real rain forest experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. We loved the hospitality of the staff. There is nothing to complaint. We would definitely go there once again with kids when we can.

The terrace with the view on the forest is one of the best views ever experienced! The place is right at the entrance of the rain forest, which is amazing with lots of great excursions to see all sorts of animals/plants. The host is super helpful for organizing excursions and communication for the arrival. The food is great, breakfasts is delicious. Did a 7h day tour which was really good. Sure there are leeches, but this is rain forest :)

360 Rainforest is situated in Deniyaya, 102 km from Hikkaduwa. Galle is 83 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site. The accommodation has a seating area. We had a one night stop-over here and loved it. The staff were so helpful and welcoming and the food was delicious and great value. My son went on the early morning rainforest trek and saw lots of animals, the guide was very knowledgeable and thei hike ended with a swim. The tents were comfortable with amazing views and sounds. I would definitely stay here again.

Really magical place. The owners are unbelievably cute and prepared us amazing dinner and breakfast and we’re really really welcoming. The view of the room and the sitting area was stunning. It was hard to leave as they really make everything to make you feel at home. Absolutely recommendable. Booking shows the property on the map. On the point on the main road there is a little way down in the forest and that’s where the rainforest view guesthouse is. So if you arrive at night and you can’t find it straight away - just call the number in the profile and they come pick you up.
