The view over San Juan del Sur und the sea was great, there were plenty of places to chill and the bed was big and comfy. The kitchen was also well equipped. The staff was very kind and helpful and the included breakfast was a dream!

We were supposed to stay at El Ecanto for 4 nights, but we loved it so much we extended our stay for longer. The hotel is absolutely lovely, it’s secluded and intimate, but not too far away from other restaurants and hostels. We rented motorcycles right from the hotel. The view from the restaurant is stunning. The manager Jose was so amazing to us, he speaks perfect English and knows everything about the island. He made our stay so smooth, he organized all our transports, and rentals. We loved it here!

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. the pool area was perfect for our group! the staff was wonderful, the food was really well priced and good quality. they often don’t have power, but still open the kitchen. be patient, food does take a while, but the bar service is good so we didn’t mind the wait.
