MacKenzie Country Hotel is located in Twizel, in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook and MacKenzie Country Region. It offers modern rooms with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. The property is very well maintained even though is not new. The front desk is very helpfull. Good location.

The Heritage Gateway Hotel is situated in Omarama, at the crossroads of MacKenzie Basin, Lindis Pass and Waitaki Valley. It offers panoramic views and excellent hiking and biking opportunities. Hot breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip to New Zealand. Can’t say enough how great the staff was!

These are just two independently owned chalets next door to the owners house. There is a real home from home feel about them, and they are incredibly equipped with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We were met after our arrival by the owner ( I am so sorry, your name escapes me. Apologies) who gave us the run down on the chalet and some invaluable information about Mount Cook, where to park for the Hooker trail, and some very sound advice to get there early! It was great to return to the accommodation after a long day walking and to sit on the veranda with a cup of tea (or maybe a glass of wine!) And enjoy the peace and quiet. I'm also grateful for laundry facilities, which was a real bonus. Do not hesitate to book these chalets. You will not be disappointed.

Pukaki Air Lodge i Twizel erbjuder boende med utsikt över bergen, grillmöjligheter, en terrass och en gemensam lounge. WiFi är gratis. An excellent location, especially for aviation enthusiasts! The room was spacious and clean and facilities excellent. Would highly recommend.

Situated by Lake Pukaki on a hilltop, Pukaki Lakeside Getaway NZ features panoramic views of Mt Cook and the surrounding farmlands. It is a 30-minute drive from Lake Tekapo and offers free WiFi. The views are really stunning.. Clear check in instructions, easy to drive. A quiet but cozy place, beautiful sunrise and night sky. The bed and sofa is comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped.

Quail Rest ligger på Tototara Peak Station, som är en fungerande High Country Station vid stranden av Lake Benmore, 22 km från Twizel township. Gratis WiFi och privat parkering ingår. Everything, though about 10 minutes off the beaten path it didn’t matter once you got there. On the front porch you looked right at Mount Cook. The house itself was immaculate and the appointments were top notch. If you are staying for a few days do not miss this one.
