Ideally located in the highest village in Portugal, El Rei Dom Manuel Hotel is housed in a historic building, its rooms offer breathtaking and stunning views over the landscapes of Portugal and Spain.... The hotel is lovely, filled with thoughtful details like port waiting in the room for an evening toast. The food in the restaurant is lovely. They even brought gluten free bread to my friend who had told them she couldn’t eat gluten but hadn’t asked for anything special. Manuel checked in with us to be sure we were happy throughout our stay. Lovely!

Spotlessly clean great breakfasts and all staff were outstanding Nothing was too much trouble from helping us with our luggage to arranging restaurants each evening and Suggestions for sightseeing The coffee shop is great and sorry do not know the the young assistants name but he seemed to work everywhere in the hotel assisting eveyone. He was great .a huge thank you Car parking an asset in the town The renovation and decor of the hotel is beautiful.

Hotel Rural Monte da Provença is a small 4-star charm hotel located within 7.5 km from the centre of Elvas. A little piece of heaven is what the owner told us this place is, and she was right. Very beautiful accommodation and superbly renovated. The room was comfortable, clean and beautiful. The garden with the pool is a perfect place to unwind.

Residencial Antonio Mocisso Guesthouse is located in Elvas. Badajoz, in neighbouring Spain is 22 km from the guest house. All air-conditioned rooms come with a private bathroom, refrigerator and a TV.... Wonderful location. Lovely owner. Clean, quiet, comfortable room.

The hotel was very different and furnished in an interesting quirky kind of way Very clean and an amazing tower where evening drinks were served whilst watching fabulous sunsets The staff at this hotel were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they looked after us extremely well

"Overlooking Montargil Dam, Monte Novo Villas offers rooms and villas with a sophisticated décor and the opportunity to enjoy water sports activities. Beautiful relaxing jewel in the mountains! The lake view from the room is wonderful. Very helpful and attentive staff. All the food was delicious and beautifully served. Great location for a short break. Definitely recommended!

Located in Pavia, 43 km from Cathedral of Evora Se, Monte da Bela Raposa provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Arriving in Monte da Bela Raposa in mid-August, I did not at all expect to spend the two most beautiful days of the summer. At the end of a road, a few kilometers from the small village of Pavia, is Françoise's house. For her, the divine is in the details. The house is sublime and harmoniously decorated with collection of antiques objects that she has collected over the years. Every corner reveals that the place has been perfectly thought out, but at the same time everything seems perfectly natural. Offering stunning peace, the garden is a clever mix of wild nature and the subtle disposition of nature. I loved the views of the lake from the pool. The rooms are actually suites, an example of sobriety and elegance. The comfort of the bedding is exceptional. The smells are delicious everywhere. You will have understood that the place is essential. Everything is both modest and sublime. Finally, the place would be nothing without Françoise, she is a wise woman, of delicacy and intelligence. We had a nice chat where we shared our passion for design, antiques and ruins. The breakfast was incredible, fresh and well-prepared, with many things coming from the property's garden. The staff are so kind, helpful, and accommodating, such warmth and hospitality. I really (and publicly) wanted to thank you for having welcomed me into your home, and I hope to be able to return regularly to recharge my batteries in this haven of peace and flavor.

Lilases Boutique House & Garden has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Mora. Beautiful old property. Amazing views. Luxurious and very clean. Staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. Best breakfast we had in Portugal. Loved it and well worth the money
