This central Umeå hotel is just 50 metres from the Umeälven River. It provides free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as modern rooms with a flat-screen satellite TV. This was the perfect hotel for us, and it's very luxurious for decent price! Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was 10/10 and there was enough gluten free options.

Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. We stayed at the Annexet appartment and it was a fantastic stay. Very spacious, clean, with fully equipped kitchen. The breakfast buffet had a very good variety. The staff was helpful and polite. City center is within walking distance and bus stops are at convenient distance, too.

They offered a complimentary dinner upon our arrival, which was SO tasty! They were extremely accommodating and kind. We also loved the breakfast buffet--it was incredible!

Reception staff were very helpful, dinner and breakfast was included. Dinner was buffet and from hot meat was only chicken but that was enough. There were potatoes and a lot of different cuts and salads and little things. Drinks had to be purchased separately. We enjoyed everything. Nothing to fault. The bed was comfortable.
