What a great experience! I enjoyed so much staying at Dar Fatma. Fathi and Moussa are just fantastic hosts. The place is a gem hidden in the Tunisian mountains, in a little Berber village. The room was spacious and clean. A bit cold in winter so be prepared with warm clothes. The food was just fantastic. You can take a walk with Moussa who will explain the Berber traditions.

La amabilidad del dueño que nos dejó cocinar la cena ya que llegamos bastante tarde y estaba igualmente todo cerrado por el Ramadán. La casa y todas las instalaciones muy muy limpias. Matmata es pequeño por lo que las casas trogloditas están a una distancia corta andando

The host was very responsive and extremely kind in wanting to make sure we were comfortable. The house is lovely and exactly as described in the photo. We also found fruit and water upon arrival. The location was very quiet and close to the sea and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it for a stay in Gabes.

Auberge de Tamezret dispone de jardín, terraza, restaurante y bar en Tamezret. This is by far one of the most special places we’ve been to. I read a review where one said it was worth the 500 km detour from Tunis, I’ll give you a better one: it’s worth a 4000 km detour from Amsterdam! The setting, the views, the amazing rooms, the village itself, the location, the hospitality and company and above all, the delicious dinner and breakfast. It was perfect from start to finish. Au Trait d'Union Tijma Matmata tiene vistas a la montaña y está en Matmata. Cuenta con restaurante, cocina compartida, bar, jardín y terraza. Hay wifi gratis. We loved the atmosphere, the dinner was spectacular and the unexpected bonus was the dark sky offering an amazing view of the milky way and dozens of constellations which you normally do not see.
