Nestled next to the Nenana River and Denali National Park, this Alaska hotel features an on-site restaurant. It offers comfortable rooms with cable TV featuring the Alaska Channel. AWESOME STAFF! From the valet team, to the front desk, to the restaurant staff....amazing hospitality. The grounds were exceptionally clean. The Mountaineer was beginning to close down for the season but even with the limited menu, the food was great. Loved the outdoor deck area. (We stayed right before Labor Day weekend). Hotel made it easy to catch our excursion pick ups. We really loved the grab and go + breakfast options from the deli on site. Really cool to be able to order a "boxed" lunch to take-a-long on adventures. Amazing coffee selection! Views were pretty, free parking. Great place to stay while exploring Denali! Yes, they will put you on the late night/early morning call list if the staff sees the northern lights so you can wake up and check them out.

Featuring stunning views of Mt. Denali, Backwoods Lodge is located in Cantwell in a quiet, forested area. Denali National Park is 43 km away. Comfortable well appointed with everything you need. Set slightly into the woods giving a peaceful still setting.

Located 13 miles south of the Denali National Park entrance on Carlo Creek, these cabins feature views of the surrounding forests and mountains. An on-site café serves all homemade food. Mostly impressed with the kitchen - the food was really excellent. Overall, beautiful location, comfortable cabins, all very convenient

It was a cabin surrounded by forest with parking at the entrance..The owner was in contact with us before arriving with great notification of what was in the cabin ,(like a drip coffee machine and filters- bring own preferred coffee.) There was also communication and though we did not see her her presence was felt if there were any problems [which there were not!l The cabin had a barbeque and a fire pit outside a front patio with chairs and a warm homely feeling inside. There with a great room, a bedroom and a bathroom downstairs, and upstairs in the loft were two double beds. The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans, all needed utensils general food like sugar, spices etc. The cabin had a heating system which kept it warm and was easy to function. The great room had a good size dining table, a couch and two comfortable chairs with throw blankets. There was a cozy warm atmosphere with many special items which gave this feeling. There were even gamed. All this and only 15 minutes from Denali N.P. The grocery store (which had everything in it) was 2 minutes away. We could have stayed there longer! Highly recommended.

The cabin is very clean and in perfect location just 15mins away from Denali National Park. The Three Bears Alaska supermarket and 49th State pub is about 300mtrs away. Both provide great facilities. The owner was very quick is responding to any communication sent. A perfect place and would highly recommend.
