The location at the shadow mountain lake is incredibly beautiful. The drive from Denver through Trail Ridge road or US40 (in winter) is quite scenic.

Everything in the lodge was very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. The kitchen even had coffee! And the proprietor, Gail, is the kindest and most accommodative person. We enjoyed our stay, and will visit again!

Overlooking Grand Lake, this motel offers a lower terrace with tables and umbrellas, and the upper balcony has chairs outside the guest room. Beautiful location and views, comfortable and spacious. Great 24hr coffee room!
