We would highly recommend choosing to stay here and do go and look at the beautiful sunrise at the point about 2 minutes walk away .

She was welcoming even before we arrived at the property, calling us to make sure we would be able to find the property. Then the whole time, she made sure every little details were taken care of. She showed us around her big property that she takes care of herself, gave us fresh fruits straight from the trees to try, and took the time to know what we were looking for around and give us advice. 110/10 would recommend! We look forward to going back - not soon enough!

Chris and fur-baby Roxy are excellent hosts, and the ohana was perfect for my husband and my two-night stay. It is centrally located in Pahoa town, making it convenient to run errands either to the village center or to Hilo town. The home is a shared accommodation, which was a first for us. There was another couple staying for one night, and they were very nice and kept to themselves. Chris is very personable and easy to be around, whether you want to hang out and chat, or just chill by yourself and read. Roxy is a beautiful, well-behaved Carolina dog, and for us, a joy to have around.

The birds erupt into a cacophony at night adding to the magic of the experience. There's no TV. Kids had a blast catching lizards in the meticulously landscaped garden.
