I travel frequently, LaPLaya is one of the cleanest and nicest motels I have stayed. It’s is immaculately clean, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when I come here. Perfect!!!

Excellent location near the beachfront. We loved the breakfast and how we were received by the hotel staff. We liked that we could get free bikes with the hotel for a ride around town. This Santa Barbara, California hotel is located 3 miles from Stearn’s Wharf on the Pacific Ocean. The hotel offers free WiFi and cable TV in every room. My wife and I liked everything in this hotel - the only thing we regretted that we stayed there just 2 nights. And personnel was very helpful and friendly.

Very clean and updated comfortable room. Close to the ocean but far from State Street and cafés and shops. I many of the staff are finally covered when I first arrived, and they were not welcoming or friendly. There was luggage being stored, and I asked if I could store mine because I had to run to a work meeting and I would be back in the late afternoon, and they refused. Then they charged me a $20 early check-in fee and I was only there three hours early. The manager looked at me but didn’t smile and just kept talking to the staff about a training very loudly and acted as if she wasn’t happy that I was there. I felt unwelcome.
